Van Es Camp & Conference Centre is located on the south shore of South Cooking Lake, just 20 min southeast of Edmonton on Highway 14 (see contact us page for details).
VECCC is a scenic gem that began in 1941 as a summer camp led by the Moravian Church in Canada. VECCC has since evolved, from its first few rudimentary cabins and straw tick mattresses, into a year-round camping and conference facility for up to 200 people. The camp now boasts heated cabins, a modern banquet hall, an indoor hot tub, and an indoor swimming pool.
We have maintained our connection with the Moravian Church and VECCC has thrived over the years thanks to its faithful supporters and dedicated leadership.
Our vision is to be a place where relationships are built by sharing God’s love and extending Christian hospitality to all through a unique camping and conference experience.
Our goal is to make Van Es Camp & Conference Centre grow, not only in the numbers of campers, but also by developing our facilities and programming. We are planning to meet the changing needs of camping and conferences alike.
